The State of New Jersey sets out the standard fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services.

All services (except online notarization) delivered by SIGND Notary Services will incur a travel charge, which is separate from New Jersey Notary Fees.

Notary Service Fee

Administering an oath/affirmation                     $2.50/ea.

Executing a jurat                                            $2.50/ea.

Taking proof of a deed (proof of execution)         $2.50/ea.

Taking an acknowledgment                              $2.50/ea. 

 

Location Charges Fee

Jails and Detention Centers: 1 hour at location                                            $100.00

Newark Airport Terminal Fee                                                                   $100.00

Hospitals and nursing homes, 30 minutes at location                                   $50.00

Excessive Wait Time per hour, more than 30 minutes at location                    $45

 

Mobile Notary Fees

Travel charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from NJ Notary Fees. 

Mobile Service: Monday – Friday (within Hudson, Bergen, and Essex County)

8:00 a.m. to 7:00  p.m.                     $70.00  +  Notary Fee

 7:01 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.                   $150.00 +  Notary Fee

10:01 p.m. to 7:59 a.m.                    $200.00  +  Notary Fee

Mobile Service: Saturday – Sunday (within Hudson, Bergen, and Essex County)

8:00 a.m. to 7:00  p.m.                     $80.00 +  Notary Fee

 7:01 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.                   $200.00 + Notary Fee

10:01 p.m. to 7:59 a.m.                    $250.00 + Notary Fee

Cancellation Fee: $ 35.00 (minimum)

Cancellation charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from NJ Notary Fees.

• Customer provides less than two hours notice for cancellation (minimum)

• Customer No-Show

• Customer Proof of Identity Issue  

• Customer Late Arrival – Unable to Complete Transaction 

• Customer Unwilling or Unable to Complete the Transaction

 

Real Estate Closing / Loan Signing Fees: CALL FOR A QUOTE

Real estate closing/loan signing fees are not statutory fees and are listed separately from New Jersey Notary Fees. Each real estate closing/loan signing will receive a custom quote based on transaction details that include:

• Document package size

• Number of notarizations,

• Number of signers (including a non-borrowing spouse)

• Mileage to the signing location scheduling and lead time

• Timing of document delivery 

• Any other misc transaction details.
